How Tirzepatide Works – Remedium Research Tirzepatide Pen

Tirzepatide is a first-in-class dual incretin receptor agonist that enhances first- and second-phase insulin secretion and reduces glucagon levels in a glucose-dependent manner. It enhances insulin sensitivity and reduces food intake, leading to reduction in body weight and fat mass. The GIP component has other direct effects on adipose tissue, possibly enhancing lipid buffering and reversing lipotoxicity. Tirzepatide also delays gastric emptying, which may affect oral drug absorption. Its elimination half-life is approximately 5 days supporting once weekly dosing in research protocols.
